GROTH Design Group Names Six Shareholders

GROTH Design Group (GDG), a Wisconsin-based planning, architecture, and interior design firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of six new Shareholders, marking a significant milestone in the firm’s continued growth and commitment to developing leaders from within.

Founded 33 years ago, GDG has offices in Cedarburg, Milwaukee, and Appleton and is experiencing growth across its core markets, including Religious, Education, Healthcare, Senior and Supportive Living, Corporate, Community, and Hospitality.

The new shareholders join existing firm Partners Pete Schneider, AIA, LEED AP; Mike McGraw, AIA, CDT; and Peter Damsgaard. Their appointments reflect the firm’s belief that leadership should be cultivated, recognized, and shared throughout the organization while reinforcing an employee-centered culture and commitment to design excellence.

“Our greatest asset has always been our people,” said Pete Schneider, Partner. “This milestone reflects both how far we have come and where we are headed. We are proud to recognize these individuals and even more excited about the opportunities this creates for the next generation of leaders across our organization.”

Peter Damsgaard, Partner, added, “Our commitment to Listen, Lead, Serve is reflected not only in the work we deliver, but also in how we support one another and build lasting relationships with our clients and communities.”

Firm leaders emphasized that the appointments are not solely about succession planning, but about creating new opportunities for leadership, engagement, and long-term investment in the future of the organization.

“Expanding shareholder opportunities demonstrates our commitment to investing in our people,” said Mike McGraw, Partner. “A broader leadership team strengthens our firm and positions us for continued success.”

GDG remains focused on delivering exceptional design solutions, cultivating meaningful client relationships, supporting professional development, and creating pathways for employees to contribute at increasingly higher levels of leadership.

At this exciting time, these appointments reinforce the strength of the firm’s next chapter.
