Mequon-Thiensville Gateway

Mequon-Thiensville, WI

A community gateway feature, designed by GROTH Design Group with partner ZEBRADOG, is located on the northeast corner of Mequon and Cedarburg roads, in the heart of the Town Center.

The design, a community promenade, serves as identification of the point of arrival into a special and distinct neighborhood that is the center of the two communities. The promenade enhances the entry point to the Town Center and Historic Main Street.

The Gateway is a public feature meant to announce arrival at a special place, activate the riverfront, serve as a public amenity, promote history and the art of the community and celebrate the vitality and new growth to the heart of the communities
Other improvements include pedestrian access and safety and signage for the businesses and amenities in the neighborhood district.
