GROTH Design Group Named a Milwaukee Business Journal 2025 Best Place to Work

We’re honored — and thrilled — to share that GROTH Design Group has been named one of the Milwaukee Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in the small company category!

This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the voice of our team. While we’ve always believed GDG is a great place to work, it’s incredibly rewarding to have that belief affirmed by our employees and celebrated alongside an impressive group of peer companies — some of whom we’re proud to partner with during our day-to-day.

What makes GDG a great place to work?

A Mission Driven Culture: Listen | Lead | Serve
Our firm was founded on the mission to listen to our clients, lead them to viable solutions, and create architecture that serves. Our mission is clear and acts as the true “brick-and-mortar” for everything we design. Our GDG team lives it. Each member of our team shares in fostering and furthering this mission through how we treat each other within our GDG-walls, our clients, and the communities we work to positively impact.

The GDG Family
We refer to ourselves as the GDG family – and we mean it. We are committed to fostering a culture where people feel valued, supported, and inspired to bring their full selves to work and live their full lives outside of work. We like to say we’re one team, three offices. Our team is supported with flexible work locations and touch-down spots at our Appleton, Cedarburg, and Milwaukee offices, as well as remote work opportunities to strike the right balance.

Growth, Stability, and Leadership
Founded in 1994, GROTH Design Group has entered our 31st year in business and grown to a team of nearly 40 architects, interiors designers, marketers, and support staff. We have also grown to serve seven diverse market sectors while remaining loyal to our founding, community-centered values. In 2024, our firm underwent an ownership transition to long-standing team members Peter Schneider, Peter Damsgaard, and Mike McGraw. Our partners are deeply committed to accessibility and actively mentor team members, creating opportunities for growth and development.
